Xiaomi has revealed the 11T, the cheaper option to the Snapdragon 888-powered Xiaomi 11T Pro. Unsurprisingly, the pair look alike and share many parts, including a Samsung ISOCELL HM2 108 MP primary camera. Xiaomi will also sell the 11T and 11T Pro in identical colours: Celestial Blue, Meteorite Gray and Moonlight White.

However, Xiaomi has equipped the 11T with a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 Ultra, a 6 nm SoC with four ARM Cortex-A55 cores, four Cortex-A78 cores and a Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. Additionally, while the Xiaomi 11T and Xiaomi 11T Pro feature up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage, only the latter has LPDDR5 RAM. By contrast, the Xiaomi 11T must make do with LPDDR4x RAM, with up to 8 GB at its disposal.

The Xiaomi 11T series shares the same camera hardware, including a 16 MP selfie camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 5 MP telemacro camera. The Xiaomi 11T and the 11T Pro have identical displays too, albeit with minor differences. For example, the Xiaomi 11T lacks the 11T Pro's Dolby Vision support, its DisplayMate A+ rating and its MEMC support. However, it can adjust its AMOLED panel between 30 Hz, 60 Hz, 90 Hz and 120 Hz; the 11T Pro can only cycle between 60 Hz and 120 Hz.

Similarly, the Xiaomi 11T has a 5,000 mAh battery, matching its Pro sibling. Xiaomi has swapped its 120 W fast charging for 67 W charging, which will still fully recharge the device in 36 minutes. The Xiaomi 11T lacks wireless charging support of any kind, too.

Xiaomi 11T: A 120 Hz and AMOLED smartphone with a Dimensity 1200 Ultra SoC and a Samsung ISOCELL HM2 camera

In short, the Xiaomi 11T is a scaled-back 11T Pro, but not massively so. Arguably, Xiaomi has separated the 11T and 11T Pro in more areas than the Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro, though. Nonetheless, the Xiaomi 11T could still be a tempting cheaper prospect than the 11T Pro. The Xiaomi 11T starts at €549.90 for the 128 GB edition and €599.90 for the 256 GB version.
