Belkin is once again attempting to take on AirPods Pro with its own SoundForm Immerse Noise Cancelling Earbuds, personal audio devices that also have Find My support.
Announced for CES 2022, the SoundForm Immerse Noise Cancelling Earbuds are wireless earphones with a hybrid ANC that includes a Hear-Thru mode to let through important sounds while deadening environmental roar. To do this, it uses a trio of microphones and dual beamforming to cancel ambient noise and improve pick-up of voice for calls.
Inside are 12mm dual-layer dynamic drivers equipped with neodymium magnets, which use aptX HD 24-bit audio. The sound can also be personalized, with the SoundForm app able to adjust the EQ and the Hear-Thru levels.
It includes multipoint Bluetooth connectivity, so users can quickly switch between multiple devices. Google Fast Pair support enables it to quickly work with Android smartphones.
A benefit for iPhone users is that the wireless charging case includes support for Apple's Find My network, and you can also search for each earbud using the SoundForm app's Ping My Earbuds feature.
The charging case also helps Belkin offer impressive battery life, with 8 hours of playtime for the earbuds alone and a further 28 hours of battery in the case equating to up to 36 hours of usage time.
IPX5-rated for sweat and water resistance and supplied with a variety of silicone ear tips and wing tips, Belkin plans to launch the SoundForm Immerse Noise Cancelling Earbuds in the second quarter of 2022. It is set to cost $179.99, according to Belkin's website.
